ABOUT THE ROLE


As a Senior Quality Control Analyst, you will join our community of practices where your input on how to improve processes and maintain high quality will be highly valued. We offer an exceptional opportunity to make a real difference in a rapidly expanding company, and we will encourage you to outgrow your initial responsibilities as our teams expand. You will operate within the Risk and Compliance Support team as the second line of defense.


Some of the things you’ll be doing:



  • Conducting independent testing and validation of new and existing business controls to ensure they are adequate and effective.

  • Performing deep-dive checks on complex systems such as the risk engine, transaction monitoring, or credit decisioning frameworks.

  • Providing crucial assurance that the controls in place are fit for purpose, delivering business value, and operating accurately.

  • Collaborating closely with a variety of teams in both 1LOD and 2LOD to rectify any issues or control gaps identified during testing.

  • Ensuring that all controls are adherent to the internal policy practices defined within the company.

  • Preparing detailed reports that document the analyses performed, the results of effectiveness testing, and any identified issues or recommendations.

  • Developing and maintaining testing packages and automation tools to standardise the quality control process.


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR



  • You have 3+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, risk management, or internal audit across the three lines of defense.

  • You have experience interpreting texts from laws or regulations (such as the UK FCA or PRA Handbooks) and mapping those obligations to existing controls.

  • You have a deep knowledge of best-practice regulatory compliance controls and an interest in deepening your expertise in this field.

  • You are results-driven and pragmatic, with a meticulous attention to detail when reviewing deliverables and documenting governance structures.

  • You have an understanding of risk management, specifically regarding financial crime and credit risk.

  • You are a self-starter who can identify opportunities for improved adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements.

  • You are collaborative and able to provide constructive feedback to team members and stakeholders while managing competing objectives.You have experience working for a Fintech or FCA regulated business.
