Job Summary

The Business Analyst is part of the HR Technology and Operations team which is responsible for ensuring HR systems that are used across the company operate correctly. This includes gathering and documenting requirements, testing changes, and ensuring the systems interoperate correctly. This involves knowledge of the inner workings of IT supported systems to ensure the desired HR outcomes are achieved when technical work is completed. The team is also responsible for creating and maintaining all HR reports including ad hoc requests to support diversity and inclusion goals, contract negotiation, regulatory requests, and executive requests. The team is responsible for validating all IT changes related to core HR data along with benefits, payroll, time, and safety. In addition, this team is often tasked with ongoing projects to make improvements in the HR operational space along with supporting testing of the periodic HR system updates to SAP and the entire SuccessFactors suite (Employee Central, Learning, Compensation, Workforce Analytics, Performance and Goals, Succession, Recruiting and Onboarding). This team is also responsible for supporting the Safety area and their respective systems.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform analysis on large amounts of complex data to provide the business with fact-based insights
  • Offer internal process and user/customer perspective of simplicity, efficiency, and effectiveness into design and analysis
  • Support departmental reporting, metrics, budgets, dashboards, and analytics 
  • Make recommendations and present alternatives to address business needs or resolve impediments
  • System configuration and administration
  • Develop functional, process, and system documentation
  • Monitor system and process performance and escalate issues as appropriate
  • Influence, gather, define and document complex business requirements and processes
  • Develop test plan / test cases and coordinate user acceptance testing
  • Lead projects or process improvements
  • Serve as subject matter expert on systems, process, and user/customer impact
  • Prepare business cases and cost/benefit analysis
  • Work with cross-functional teams and contacts to ensure efficient process flow across organizational lines
  • Anticipate, interpret, and translate overall business/industry trends into proactive/actionable solutions
  • A high degree of proficiency is expected in the Business Success Competencies of Personal Responsibility for Results, Sense of Urgency, Customer Focus, and Financial Discipline are required in the execution of these key responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or related discipline
  • The Business Process Analyst position requires at least 2 or 3 years relevant experience 
  • Strong analysis, decision making and problem solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) 
  • Ability to work as part of a team and interact effectively with others
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple tasks under time constraints
  • Experience working with project management methodology preferred
  • Proficient in standard office software (MS Excel, Visio, Word

  • SAP and Success Factors experience

Pay Range Minimum:  $78,702.26 

Pay Range Maximum:  $135,761.08 

 

The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs.  At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
