About this role

Role Overview
 
Care Lync is hiring a Cybersecurity Analyst (Tier 1) to support day-to-day security operations, monitor threats, respond to alerts, and help maintain a strong security posture. This is a hands-on early-career role designed for someone who wants to learn, grow, and actively protect real systems - not just read dashboards.
 

Key Responsibilities
 
Monitor security alerts and triage potential threats.
 
Assist with incident response, documentation, and escalation.
 
Support Microsoft security tools including Defender, Entra ID, and Intune.
 
Assist with vulnerability scanning and remediation coordination.
 
Help maintain MFA, Conditional Access, and endpoint security policies.
 
Support HIPAA security compliance and security documentation.
 
Assist with phishing investigations and security awareness efforts.
 
Contribute to security runbooks and process improvement.
 

Required Qualifications
 
1–2+ years in IT, cybersecurity, or related experience (internships count).
 
Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts (threats, vulnerabilities, authentication, least privilege).
 
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 environments preferred.
 
Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset.
 
Willingness to learn, take ownership, and work collaboratively.
 
Strong documentation and communication skills.
 

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required but Helpful)
 
CompTIA Security+ or working toward it.
 
Exposure to Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, or similar tools.
 
Experience in healthcare or regulated environments.
 
PowerShell or automation curiosity is a plus.
