Role Summary
Care-Lync is seeking a hands-on software engineer to help design, build, and maintain assistive AI and automation solutions that support Support Coordination operations. This role focuses on documentation quality, compliance visibility, workflow efficiency, and system integrations-not autonomous decision-making.
This is a foundational engineering role working under defined technical and compliance guardrails in a regulated, person-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities
AI & Automation (Assistive, Human-in-the-Loop)
Design and implement AI-assisted workflows (e.g., documentation review, gap flagging, knowledge retrieval).
Integrate LLM-based tools in a controlled, compliant manner (flagging, summarization, classification).
Ensure AI systems support staff judgment and never replace clinical or service decisions.
Implement confidence thresholds, audit trails, and supervisor review paths.
Systems Integration & Engineering
Build and maintain integrations between:
CRM platforms (e.g., Knack)
Microsoft 365 / Azure services
Third-party APIs and internal systems
Develop and maintain REST APIs and backend services.
Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices (Azure DevOps).
Data, Security & Compliance
Handle PHI in accordance with HIPAA and internal governance standards.
Ensure AI vendors and services meet HIPAA / BAA requirements.
Implement data minimization, logging, and monitoring strategies.
Participate in risk assessments and documentation for AI-enabled workflows.
Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with IT leadership, operations, and supervisors to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Clearly explain AI system behavior and limitations to non-technical stakeholders.
Participate in roadmap planning and iterative delivery.
