About this role

General Overview: The Compliance Associate will consult a variety of sources and government websites, to determine relevant changes or updates regarding rules and regulations across multiple states. This role will also focus on ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations, performing background checks, conducting audits, and tracking the successful completion of market-specific audit requirements. The Compliance Analyst will play an instrumental role in the development and rollout of policies and procedures for current and expanding markets, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and Care Lync Best Practices.

Key responsibilities include assisting in internal audits, interpreting federal, state, and local regulations, and working with compliance and legal teams to ensure proper reporting, documentation, and risk management.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze relevant sources (such as state regulation manuals, government websites, and internal/external policies) for updates to rules, regulations and policy creation.
  • Update internal policies, compliance documents, and operational procedures to reflect any changes in regulations/state mandates.
  • Perform background checks and assess compliance by utilizing state, federal, and government resources as well as in-house tracking systems (Knack).
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure policies and procedures are being followed in line with regulations.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of compliance strategies, plans, and procedures in both existing and new markets, ensuring alignment with Care Lync Best Practices.
  • Track and monitor the successful completion of market-specific audit requirements.
  • Prepare reports, operational documentation, and records related to compliance and audit activities.
  • Prepare and present technical reports related to regulatory changes and internal audits.
  • Report findings and updates to the Corporate Compliance Manger.
  • Identify regulatory resources required for task completion and compliance.
  • Assist in the training of staff regarding new regulations, compliance policies, and operational changes.
  • Support the team in risk mitigation strategies, ensuring compliance across all operational levels.

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree in related course work or equivalent professional experience.
  • Paralegal background with knowledge of regulatory compliance, audit practices, and legal document preparation.
  • Familiarity with performing background checks using state, federal, and government websites.
  • Proven experience with internal auditing processes, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Ability to apply state, federal, and local regulations to support compliance activities and Care Lync's operational standards.
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Ability to work within a matrixed environment and interact with different levels of management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report preparation and presentation.
  • Ability to interpret complex regulations and provide clear, actionable insights to management.
  • Proven experience working with legal or compliance teams, with the ability to identify regulatory resources and requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to deadlines and compliance guidelines.
  • Experience coaching and mentoring project team members to improve skills and capabilities.
  • Must reside in the Philadelphia area and be available to travel to the corporate office as needed.
