About this role

Park Nicollet is looking to hire a Registered Nurse to join our team!  Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day. 

The Registered Nurse (RN) manages the episode of patient care in an autonomous manner. This patient care may be through direct care by the RN, or it may be to coordinate and supervise patient care delegated to other assistive personnel.

 

Schedule: 

Monday-Friday Day shift, 7:30-4:00 pm

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:

    • Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in acute care cardiology, ICU or Emergency Center setting.

    • Cardiology patient care and experience in handling emergencies /codes required. 

  • Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:

    • BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines. 

    • Certification in Conscious Sedation (for use in Transesophageal (TEE) exams) and ACLS required within 2 months of hire date. 

    • Complete EKG skill testing and IV training within 2 months of hire date. 

    • Must complete 12-Lead EKG class and Rhythm Interpretation class within 6 months of hire. 

  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Strong clinical and human relations skills 

    • Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and ensure safety of patients.

    • Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing in the English language. 

    • Ability to work independently and use autonomous nursing judgment when needed. 

    • This position requires familiarity and compliance with matters of law, regulations and internal policies affecting the employment relationship, (including but not limited to FMLA, ADA, discrimination, and harassment laws). 

    • Able to safely and effectively operate the following: various health testing devices (depending upon the area of specialty); HIS (Hospital Information Systems), KinetDx (Echo database), Imagecast, MUSE (EKG database), AED (Automatic External Defibrillator), Propaq (Patient monitoring device – BP, HR, SaO2 etc.), Crash Cart equipment, IV pumps, Adenosine infusion device, Stress Testing equipment (treadmill and supine bicycle), EKG equipment, Nebulizers, telephone, CRT, printer, and photocopier.

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:

    • BSN preferred.

    • Three or more years of experience preferred.
