About this role

HealthPartners is hiring a Growth and Business Development Analyst to support care system growth and market development through data analysis, market research, forecasting, and strategy development. This role is part of a collaborative team that synthesizes internal and external data into insights that inform leadership decisions. The analyst works closely with clinical, operational, and other leaders across departments, while also managing independent projects and ad hoc requests. Reporting to the Director and Principal Advisor for Care System Growth, the analyst contributes on a team that is dedicated to strengthening HealthPartners’ market position and enhancing care delivery.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in healthcare strategic planning, business analysis, finance, or consulting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Skilled in using personal computers, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including PowerPoint and Power BI.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and become proficient in additional software applications and systems, such as data query tools, business intelligence platforms, and mapping software.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex programs with excellent time management skills.
  • Exceptional critical thinking skills.
  • The analyst is responsible for arranging travel as needed (limited).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong Excel modeling capabilities, e.g., demand, capacity, and financial modeling.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of healthcare delivery systems, payment models, and regulatory environment.
  • Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHRs), population health platforms, or strategic planning tools.

Hours/Location:

  • Monday – Friday; core business hours
  • This is a hybrid role requiring onsite presence for at least three days per week to support team collaboration.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide data and analytic support for growth initiatives, including assessments and recommendations, with an emphasis on forward-looking projects/questions.
  • Partner with growth advisors to provide consultation to operational and clinical leaders regarding growth planning concepts and methods.
  • Conduct market-oriented analyses, including market assessments, demographic analysis, competitive assessments, market position, and related functions.
  • Produce standardized and ad hoc reports, scorecards, benchmarks, maps, etc., related to strategy and growth, (e.g., new and unique patient reports, market share reports, etc.)
  • Advise on identification and development of analytic resources and tools, and serve as liaison to external entities (e.g., software/applications from MHA, Sg2, Advisory Board, Maptitude, etc.)
  • Other duties as assigned
