The US Card Outbound Correspondence platform is at the heart of delivering critical communications, from the credit cards in our customers' wallets to their essential statements and letters. We build the cutting-edge platform capabilities that ensure these billions of pieces of correspondence are produced and delivered seamlessly. 

About the Role

As a Data Product Manager on the Graffiti team, you will take ownership for our existing data product and pipelines. You will work closely with business analysts, engineers, product managers, and other cross functional teams to create integrated roadmaps, prioritize development, manage releases, define metrics and key results that will drive significant customer and business value.

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Lead the Data Product Strategy and Data Governance for the Graffiti Consumer Correspondence Data Product 

  • Immerse yourself in understanding your customer(s) by employing empathy and design thinking to build a customer-backed product roadmap that that drives business value

  • Serves as the internal and external subject matter expert for your product and its role in Capital One’s ecosystem with accountability for owning the definition of data, including its usage and constraints

  • Partner closely with technology and data experts to design robust solutions, shaping the business capabilities and associated architecture necessary to drive the broader product agenda

  • Owns the outcomes related to improving the reconciliation process, self healing controls and well managed improvements for Graffiti’s supplier interactions

  • Partners with SCS Data Analysts, Supplier Integration, Graffiti Intelligence and Platform tenants to understand the evolving needs of our Data Consumers and Platform Tenants and develops strategies to augment the data product to ingest new data sources to meet business and operational intent 

  • Defines the Data Publishing Standards and Data Consumption Patterns for the data product 

  • Serves as a Graffiti PDS, ensuring that data exchanges and patterns remain well-managed and in compliance 

  • Defines OKRs for your Data Product with a metrics-driven strategy to maximize value of your product and iteratively adjust and refining roadmap based on inputs

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience working in Product Management

  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining one of the following with an expectation that the required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date: 

    • A Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field)

    • A Master's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field) or an MBA with a quantitative concentration

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer facing digital products

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Riverwoods, IL: $149,800 - $171,000 for Manager, Product Management


 

Chicago, IL: $149,800 - $171,000 for Manager, Product Management


 

McLean, VA: $164,800 - $188,100 for Manager, Product Management


 

New York, NY: $179,700 - $205,100 for Manager, Product Management

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
