As a Customer Advisor your role will involve receiving inbound calls from candidates who are looking to join the British Army and responding to any enquiries regarding their application processes.

Job Description:

  • Full-time, permanent role: working 37.50 hours per week. Hours of work follow a rota between 8.15am-7.00pm Monday to Friday and a rotated Saturday (approximately 1 in every 8).
  • Office working: at our Upavon, Wiltshire office
  • As part of the induction process, you will be required to attend an in-person, 1.5 day, induction at our offices in Bovington

What you’ll be doing

  • Answering calls from individuals looking to join the British Army
  • Responding to online webchat enquiries
  • Accurately updating the internal database
  • Escalating any problems or issues that may occur
  • Responding to candidate questions regarding various stages in the recruitment process
  • Supporting team members as and when required

What we’re looking for

Essential

  • Previous customer service skills - face to face or over the telephone
  • Good IT skills using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Adaptable to in house databases
  • Comfortable working in a team environment as well as independently
  • Active listening skills with the ability to type key information at the same time
  • Must have the flexibility to work a shift pattern, between the hours of 8.15am-7pm
  • Empathy and patience

Desirable

  • Familiarity with army careers, would be an advantage
