Position Overview:



The Industrial Mechanic/Heavy Duty Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a variety of heavy equipment and industrial machinery to ensure safe and efficient operations. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to preventative maintenance.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems on heavy equipment and machinery
  • Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime
  • Troubleshoot mechanical failures and recommend solutions
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Operate tools and equipment safely and in compliance with company and regulatory standards
  • Maintain accurate service and repair records
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure safe and efficient work practices


Qualifications:



  • Journeyman Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) or Heavy Duty Equipment Technician certification (or equivalent experience)
  • Previous experience in heavy equipment or industrial maintenance (mining, oil & gas, construction, or manufacturing considered an asset)
  • Strong understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, and fabrication
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to workplace safety and regulatory compliance
  • Valid driver’s license
