What you’ll do:
This is a maternity leave contract role for 12 months with a possibility of extension
Reporting to the Buyer, the Purchase Coordinator is specifically responsible for supporting the buying team and partnering with cross functional partners to execute the merchandising strategy that meets or exceeds financial goals for their respective categories. Core areas of responsibility are as follows: assortment execution, daily vendor and internal communication, sample management, purchase order management, promotions and marketing and business analysis
· Support buyer on all day-to-day functions for assigned category
· Deliver accurate execution of the tasks associated with seasonal style creation (vendor set-up style creation, master data management, purchase orders); oversee and execute any in season revisions needed and track for on time delivery
· Own the execution of marketing activities; creating price events, leading the ad proofing process and maintaining the tracker to ensure product compliance
· Monitor the categories’ online experience, ensuring assortment, content and promotions are creating a best-in-class experience
· Manage sample acquisition and distribution; this includes procurement, sample room maintenance, and submissions to marketing
· Build and maintain strong vendor and cross functional relationships through timely communication and follow up
· Manage all e-mail correspondence effectively and efficiently, escalating concerns where necessary to the POD
· Display financial understanding and utilization of basic retail math to help analyze your department’s business on weekly, monthly, and seasonal basis
· Stay current on system and reporting enhancements and changes to ensure efficiencies are maximized within the role
· Partner with various cross functional departments including but not limited to planning and allocation, marketing, product development, design, logistics and in store operations to ensure flawless execution of the product assortment and customer experience
What you bring:
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· 1-2 years apparel retail store experience preferred
· A passion for fashion and retail
· Understanding of current trends and how they apply to the Mark’s customer
· Basic understanding of retail math
· Strong MS Office skills including Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
· Strong oral and written communication skills
· Solid organizational and problem-solving skills
· Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team
· Sense of urgency with ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
· Flexibility and the ability to prioritize multiple assignments
· Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting

Our typical hiring range is between $23 and $37 per hour. Salary decisions are also dependent on other factors such as your experience, job-related knowledge, skills and competencies, market location, industry benchmarks, internal equity and other role-specific requirements.
