This position is reserved for Nunavik Inuit Beneficiary of the JBNQA

The hourly rate 37,91$ 

Deadline to APPLY February 2 2026

The work location is at Nunavik and the normal work schedule is on a rotation of 4 weeks: 2 weeks worked (84 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 2 weeks for rest.

Future challenges

 

Reporting to the Operations Concentrator Supervisor, the Apprentice Operator is responsible for the various monitoring and supporting operations. Main responsibilities of the job include:

  • Support operators in their daily tasks
  • Maintain the facility in a clean and safe condition.
  • Act as hot-worker and confined space supervisor.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental rules and guidelines in the workplace.
  • Carry out any other tasks required in connection with the position.

 

Profile Sought

 

  • High school diploma (DES) or equivalent is an asset. 
  • Experience working on pressure vessels is an asset.  
  • Experience in industrial process operation (mining/concentrator, metals, pulp and paper, chemical/petrochemical) is an asset.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license is essential (territorial accepted). 
  • Ability to communicate in at least two of the following languages: Inuktitut, English or French (trilingual will be considered an asset).
