Job Summary:

We are seeking a strategic and analytical Director of Commercial Finance to lead financial planning, analysis, and performance management for our commercial operations. This role will play a pivotal part in driving profitability through deep P&L expertise, collaborating with sales and strategic accounts teams, and providing actionable insights into key account performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of B2B business drivers in industries like collision repair, with an eye toward B2C implications, and will contribute to pricing strategies to support overall business growth. This position requires influencing cross-functional teams and leveraging data tools to inform decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee comprehensive P&L management, identifying and analyzing key levers (e.g., revenue growth, cost efficiencies, margin optimization) to drive financial performance and profitability
  • Collaborate closely with sales/strategic accounts teams to align financial strategies with commercial goals, providing guidance on deal structures, forecasting, and performance metrics
  • Conduct detailed P&L performance reviews and analyses for key accounts, delivering insights on variances, trends, and opportunities to senior leadership and stakeholders
  • Develop and implement basic pricing strategies, including pricing models, competitive analysis, and margin assessments, to enhance revenue and market positioning
  • Monitor B2B business drivers in the collision repair industry, such as supply chain dynamics, customer acquisition costs, and service delivery efficiencies, while maintaining visibility into B2C end-user impacts (e.g., customer satisfaction and retention)
  • Utilize data analytics tools like Power BI, Anaplan, Snowflake, and SQL to build dashboards, run queries, and generate reports that support financial decision-making and cross-functional initiatives
  • Influence and partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., operations, strategic accounts, marketing, and IT) to foster a data-driven culture and achieve shared business objectives
  • Prepare executive-level presentations and reports on financial performance, risks, and strategic recommendations
  • Stay abreast of industry trends in collision repair and related sectors to inform financial planning and risk management

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role focused on commercial finance or FP&A
  • Strong understanding of P&L statements, financial modeling, and the key drivers influencing profitability
  • Proven ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders, including sales and account management teams
  • Basic knowledge of pricing principles and strategies, with experience in applying them to business decisions
  • Demonstrated business acumen in B2B environments, ideally with exposure to industries involving B2C touchpoints (e.g., automotive services, repair, or manufacturing)
  • Experience working with and influencing cross-functional teams in a dynamic, fast-paced setting
  • Proficiency in financial analysis tools and software; familiarity with Power BI, Anaplan, Snowflake, and SQL is a plus but not required
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills
  • Hands-on experience with data visualization and analytics platforms, including building custom reports and models
  • Experience in the collision repair industry or related automotive/services sectors preferred
