OverviewIndependently executes expediting activities to ensure timely delivery of construction and engineering materials andequipment, applying standard procedures and sound judgment to monitor supplier performance, resolve delays, andcoordinate logistics. This role directly supports supplier evaluation, schedule adherence, and overall project efficiency.

 

ResponsibilitiesThe following responsibilities are intended as general illustrations of the work in this job class; however, are not allinclusivefor this position:• Initiates and maintains communication with vendors to confirm delivery schedules for materials and vendor data• Prepares and maintains expediting status reports; and other reports as assigned• Monitors actual progress against detailed fabrication and manufacturing schedules• Identifies and resolves discrepancies related to delivered materials and equipment• Participates in project review meetings to report on the status of material and equipment deliveries• Coordinates with suppliers and construction management to align material and equipment deliveries with projectrequirements• Supports the assessment of supplier performance• Identifies and escalates logistical issues in a timely manner to enable effective resolution• Coordinates and communicates project Hold Points among suppliers, the Project team, and the Procurement team• Attend and participate in meetings as assigned• Other duties as assigned

 

QualificationsExperience• Minimum of two years of work experience required with experience in expediting, procurement, or businessadministration duties preferred• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)

Education• High School Diploma (or equivalent) required• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Construction Management, or relatedfield from an accredited college or university is preferred
