Job Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Food Sever is to provide prompt, courteous service to the Banquet guests and ensure they receive a pleasurable experience.
Essential Job Functions:
Acknowledge customer immediately with a smile.
Inform guests of any specials and have a full understanding of the menu to answer any questions.
Monitor tables closely and be attentive to guests’ needs.
Clear empty plates and glasses from tables and place quickly on service trays.
Prepare sections and side stations, i.e., make sure tables are cleaned and set properly.
Make sure all areas are clean and free of debris.
Must be available December 30th and 31st for entire posted shift.
Qualifications:
Work requires 6 months’ previous food server experience, but positive attitude and energy are essential.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must be able to carry and lift 50 lbs
Work requires effective communication in English, both verbal and written form in a professional manner.
Must present a neat and professional appearance.
Work requires interactions with customers, public and co-workers.
Work requires teamwork with other staff members.
Must have current and active Alcohol Awareness and SNHD cards.
Must be able to stand for an 8 hour period and work in a fast paced environment with accuracy.
Physical, Mental and Environmental Demands:
Fast paced, high volume environment involving constant public. Also, requires carrying serving trays weighing up to 15 lbs., and may require lifting bus tubs weighing up to 40 lbs. Shifts may vary based on business needs. Must be able to tolerate secondary tobacco smoke.
