Summary:

 

The Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of both existing and new software products. This position will be responsible for test planning, documenting, coordinating, and executing activities related to the testing of systems and applications developed by our product team.

 

           

Duties and Responsibilities:

Design, plan, document, and execute comprehensive testing strategies to ensure software meets established quality standards.
Evaluate application functionality through manual and automated testing of systems, workflows, integrations, and APIs.
Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts aligned with user stories and acceptance criteria.
Prepare and manage complex data sets to validate business logic, error handling, and end-to-end system workflows.
Collaborate with Product and Development teams to refine requirements, create user stories, define acceptance criteria, and ensure test coverage.
Identify, isolate, reproduce, and document defects using established defect tracking tools, and work with development teams through resolution.
Utilize test management tools to organize, execute, and maintain test cases and test results.
Coordinate with offshore or distributed QA resources to align on testing documentation, assets, and execution.
Ensure testing activities and results are documented in accordance with organizational standards and processes.
Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and automation practices.
Perform additional related duties as assigned.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

 

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
6+ years of professional experience in Quality Assurance or software testing.
Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman.
Proficiency in one or more programming languages, including C#, Java, or Python.
Working knowledge of SQL or similar database query languages.
Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
Experience with test automation frameworks such as Cypress, Robot Framework, Playwright, and Selenium.
Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
Proven experience writing and executing test cases, leveraging automation where appropriate to validate features against acceptance criteria and quality standards.

 

Certifications

Certifications such as Quality Engineer, Quality Auditor, Six Sigma, or Quality Improvement are preferred but not required.

Proven ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet product deadlines.
Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.
