The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a cyber software engineer to support our Sponsor’s program involved with research, analysis and prototyping of applications, networks and tools; development of tool capabilities; testing and O&M.  This role involves a deep understanding of software engineering, security overwatch, penetration testing, reverse engineering, network analysis.  You will use your knowledge of cybersecurity operations, emulating adversary behavior, and improving the defensive postures of our sponsors. You’ll evaluate tools and methodologies, assess adversary intent, develop cybersecurity analytics and other techniques to thwart or detect attacks, develop approaches to automate cybersecurity operations, and engage in research to improve the state of the practice.

You will be part of an overall effort to provide life cycle services that include systems engineering, integration, software development, testing, configuration management and training development.  Be part of a department with an expanding range of programs focusing on Cyber Mission Operations, where you get to grow on and between programs with peers who are dedicated to advancing national security.  Cyber Mission Operations. 



Responsibilities:

  • Focus will be on software engineering, reverse engineering, protocol analysis, network protocols, encrypted protocols, traffic monitoring

  • In depth exposure to windows Servers, Windows Desktop, Linus, MAC OS, Mobile/Android and the security protection of those systems

  • Understanding how a threat might circumvent detection apps and security monitoring systems Researching emerging technologies



Qualifications:
Required: 

  • An active TS/SCI  with polygraph

  • Five to Fifteen (5-15) years’ experience as a software or cyber engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. 

  • Demonstrated in depth knowledge of OS architecture for Windows, MAC, Android, iOS.

  • Demonstrated experience with infrastructure applications

  • Virtualization, vSphere, KVM

  • Containerization and Docker

  • Automation: Ansible, Puppet, Linux Bash, Python scripting

  • Networking: VLANS, IPTables, Firewalls

  • Active Directory: Domains, Group Policies, Authentication

  • Demonstrated knowledge of embedded systems IOT

  • Deep understanding of cryptography, certificate pinning

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$66,700 - $133,300
