
POSITION OBJECTIVE: Provides support for processing and reconciling the beer/wine driver cash collections accurately and efficiently. Verifying the driver reconciliation to the computer generated reports of the daily deliveries.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Match driver cash reconciliations to the system generated summary of delivery activity.
Post daily sales transactions into the accounting system.
Verify handheld device download to the upload into the accounting system.
Encode all checks for daily deposit to bank.
Prepare daily bank deposit in a bank secured deposit bag.
Document driver shortages.
Filing invoices, work orders or other accounting/cashier related documents.
Provide quality customer service to drivers.
Attend all scheduled meetings and conduct oneself in a professional manner that is supportive of management.
Maintain a clean, organized, safe and secure work area.
Follow all safety policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
Two-three years cashier, cash handling, banking or accounting experience required.
Working knowledge of accounting software packages, VIP (Vermont Information Processing) beverage industry experience is a plus.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to work independently and without a lot of supervision.
Ability to handle and count currency with 100% accurace.
Accurate and detailed oriented.
Ability to multi-task and accomplish all assignments in a timely manner.
Must be extremely dependable and trustworthy.
Must be a team player and demonstrate positive work behaviors and attitude.
Must be professional in interactions with drivers and staff.
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
This position requires a self-motivated, high energy individual who is able to work quickly, accurately and effectively with a sense of urgency about getting work done in an efficient manner while maintaining a high level of attention to detail. This is a full-time, hourly position (40 hours per week). Typical work schedule is 10:30am-7:30pm Monday-Friday, but must be flexible regarding changes in work schedule as driver delivery schedule changes depending on the time of year.
