About this role

Follow up on all engineering licensing works and regulatory approvals for the office’s projects with government entities (such as municipalities, city councils, the Royal Commission, and Diriyah Gate Development Authority), and ensure that projects meet all regulatory and technical requirements according to specified timelines and with the highest standards of quality and compliance.

 

Main Responsibilities and Tasks:

  1. Preparing and reviewing project drawings and documents (building permits, occupancy, demolition, modification, site preparation, etc.).

  2. Coordinating with Riyadh Municipality and all relevant government authorities to obtain the required regulatory approvals.

  3. Studying municipal regulations and the Saudi Building Code (SBC) and ensuring compliance with architectural designs and drawings.

  4. Managing the process of submitting applications through the Baladi platform, Riyadh Municipality platform, or other relevant platforms (Royal Commission, Diriyah Gate Development Authority, etc.).

  5. Following up on exemption requests and special approvals for projects with unique nature (hotels, investment projects, etc.).

  6. Reviewing and approving final architectural drawings before submission to official authorities.

  7. Supervising and coordinating the work of engineers in the Licensing Department and distributing tasks among them.

  8. Following up with engineers in the Building Permits Department and ensuring they receive adequate training to perform their tasks properly.

  9. Reviewing contracts and coordinating with the Contracts Department before sending them to the client to ensure the validity of technical and regulatory clauses.

  10. Continuous coordination with the Design Department and engineering offices to complete the technical and administrative requirements of each project.

  11. Following up on transactions with liaison officers or responsible employees until the building permit is officially approved.

  12. Preparing periodic reports for management that include the status of each project, licensing progress rates, and following up on financial payments according to signed contracts.

  13. Representing the office before government authorities or project owners in meetings and site visits when needed.

  14. Following up on Central Oversight Inspection reports with the concerned engineer and uploading them to the system until the issuance of the Occupancy Certificate.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
• Practical experience of no less than 8 years and no more than 10 years in the field of building permits within the Kingdom.
• Full knowledge of the Riyadh Municipality systems, Baladi platform, and local regulatory requirements.
• Full familiarity with the Saudi Building Code (SBC) and related municipal regulations.
• Strong communication, follow-up, and coordination skills with official entities and internal departments.
• Classified by the Saudi Council of Engineers with Professional classification.
• Proficiency in using computers, AutoCAD, and municipal electronic systems.
• English language proficiency (spoken and written) is preferred.

 

Total Monthly Salary including housing and transportation: 10,000 – 12,000 SAR
