About the role:

We’re looking for an Inventory Planner to join the Bunnings Merchandise Inventory Team!

In this role, you’ll ensure the right stock is in the right place at the right time to meet customer demand. You’ll support the end‑to‑end inventory planning process — from demand forecasting through to replenishment and supplier management — helping drive strong availability and financial outcomes for your department.

This role works closely with Merchandise, Supply Chain, Marketing and our supplier partners, contributing to smooth stock flow, accurate forecasts, and effective planning decisions.

What’s Involved:

  • Analyse market trends, sales history and business insights to build accurate demand forecasts.
  • Maintain demand planning models covering base, promo, seasonal, new and discontinued lines.
  • Review and approve purchase orders and replenishment recommendations.
  • Adjust purchasing plans to support key events, stock needs and promotional activity.
  • Track and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery and resolving exceptions.
  • Provide forward purchasing projections to suppliers and monitor DIFOT performance.
  • Support merchandise teams with inventory insights across range planning, financial planning and category reviews.
  • Prepare reporting on stock performance, including stock turn, ageing, risk and opportunities.

Who we’re looking for

You bring strong knowledge of demand, replenishment or supply planning — ideally within a retail environment. You’re confident working with data, have solid commercial and financial awareness, and enjoy solving problems in a fast‑moving environment.

You’ll also bring strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with Buyers, Planners, Supply Chain teams and suppliers to deliver great outcomes. You’re organised, detail‑focused, and able to influence and align stakeholders across multiple functions.

You’ll need:

  • Previous experience in inventory planning, demand planning, replenishment, supply planning or similar.
  • Strong analytical skills, including financial analysis and forecasting.
  • Experience working with planning or replenishment systems
  • High competency in Excel and general computer literacy.
  • Qualifications in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics or related field (preferred).

You’ll be part of a workplace where you’ll feel like you belong.
