About the role: 

  

At Bunnings, we are committed to participating in the communities in which we operate. We do this by contributing to local, regional and national causes, charities and organisations throughout Australia and New Zealand. The role of the Activities Organiser is to help drive meaningful and active participation in our wide range of local community groups. As the Activities Organiser you will play a key part in facilitating a variety of in store and community-based activities that enhance the shopping experience for our customers, as well as build and strengthen existing relationships within the local community.  

  

What's involved: 

  • Organise, implement and manage all store activities and in-store vibe including kids activities, ‘Do-It-Yourself' workshops, supplier demonstrations, family nights and event planning

  • Visit local schools and community groups to deliver workshops and community projects 

  • Manage donations and fundraising activities for our local schools and community groups  

  • Assist in managing existing and new relationships with our community groups and be the key point of contact at their local Bunnings

  • Promote and communicate store events and activities, liaising with both internal and external stakeholders.

You are a community minded individual who enjoys participating in and supporting local schools and community groups. We are looking for someone who is approachable, friendly, and who brings a diverse mindset and a passion for helping the local community. We’re genuinely invested in your career and no matter where you start with us, that pathway is yours to build.

You’ll need: 

  • A genuine passion for supporting and being involved in the community 

  • An ability to influence and motivate the team in store 

  • Confidence to grow and maintain relationships 

  • Creativity to design and deliver workshops and activities 

  • Ability to be organised, plan events and manage your time effectively.
