Buff City Soap Products are fresh, made in each soap makery daily with ingredients you can pronounce.  We are currently accepting applications for a Store Manager. The Store Manager contributes to Buff City Soap’s success by leading a team to create and maintain the Buff City Experience for our clients. The Store Manager is required to regularly exercise discretion in managing the overall operation of the makery. A majority of time is spent supervising and directing the workforce, making staffing decisions (i.e., hiring, training, evaluating, disciplining, discharging, staffing and scheduling), ensuring client satisfaction and quality of client experience, monitoring and motivating staff to achieve performance goals, handling minor maintenance issues, ensuring the cleanliness of your makery, and managing safety and security within the makery. The Store Manager is responsible for modeling and acting in accordance with Buff City Soap principles in order to deliver an exceptional client experience.</div><div><strong><em> </em></strong></div><div><strong><em>Tasks & Responsibilities:</em></strong></div><ul> <li>Developing and coaching employees to provide amazing client experiences.</li> <li>Following up swiftly on client concerns and issues.</li> <li>Consistently sets a positive example and demonstrates a calm demeanor during periods of high volume.</li> <li>Displays a client comes first attitude by holding team members accountable for quality client service.</li> <li>Drives company metrics by developing action plans. Directly motivates and instructs the makery team by implementing company programs.</li> <li>Manages with integrity and honesty and promotes the culture, values, and mission of Buff City Soap.</li> <li>Plans, identifies, communicates, and delegates responsibilities to team members to ensure smooth flow of operations.</li> <li>Manage and track stock of raw materials, finished products, and supplies.</li> <li>Maintains outstanding store conditions and visual merchandising compliance with the Buff City Soap brand standards.</li> <li>Directly responsible for the production, cleanliness, maintenance, sanitation, and organization of the makery.</li> <li>Manage and track stock of raw materials, finished products, and supplies.</li> <li>Manages makery staffing levels to ensure employee development and maintain makery operational requirements.</li> <li>Adherence to applicable wage and hour laws for non-exempt team members and minors.</li> <li>Uses all operational tools to plan for and achieve operational excellence in the makery. Tools include labor guidelines, reports, cash management and inventory management.</li> <li>Utilizes financial reports to identify and address trends and issues in makery performance.</li> <li>Regularly conducts performance assessments, providing feedback and setting challenging goals to improve sales performance.</li> <li>Manage ongoing sales.</li> <li>Has reliable ability and transportation to go to the bank as needed.</li> <li>The Store Manager is required to work the following time frames each work week based on their hourly or salary status:<ul> <li>Salaried Store Managers must work at least 40 hours per week over at least 5 days per week.   Any additional hours worked are unpaid </li> <li>Hourly Store Managers must work at least 32 hours per week over at least 4 days per week.   <strong>Note:</strong> Overtime will only be paid if the manager works over 40 hours in a work week, however, <strong>all overtime hours must be approved by the District or Regional Manager </strong><strong><u>in advance</u></strong><strong>.</strong> </li> </ul> </li> <li>The Store Manager is required to work a varying number of mid and/or closing shifts each week as determined by their supervisors based on business trends and staffing needs.</li> </ul><div><br></div><div> </div><div><strong><em>Experience:</em></strong></div><ul> <li>College education preferred, but not required.</li> <li>Management and/or Sales experience required.</li> <li>Basic Computer skills (ability to use Word, Excel, and Outlook)</li> <li>Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple situations simultaneously.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of client service techniques and operational practices.</li> <li>Strong problem solving and organizational/planning skills.</li> <li>Strong leaderships skills, with the ability to coach and mentor while having knowledge of supervisory practices and procedures.</li> <li>Team building skills</li> <li>Ability to prioritize and delegate.</li> </ul><div><br></div><div><strong><em>Physical Requirements:</em></strong></div><ul> <li>Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.</li> <li>Must not be sensitive to various scents and fragrances.</li> <li>Dexterity of hands and fingers.</li> <li>Ability to lift or assist in lifting items and heavy boxes up to 50lbs.</li> <li>Ability to walk, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, twist and stoop, kneel or crouch.</li> <li>Ability to perform makery cleaning functions including dusting, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, etc.</li> </ul> </div>
