The Propositions Architect will ensure BT Security’s UK portfolio is future-ready, maximises vendor partnerships, and delivers innovative solutions for customers.
The role combines technical architecture expertise with market insight to bring new security solutions to market, support strategic projects, and drive growth in managed services.
Provide technical architectural support on agreed roadmap initiatives, acting as the technical vendor expert where appropriate to guide solution design and delivery.
Collaborate with technical architecture colleagues to test ideas, share knowledge, and develop layered security solutions that meet complex customer requirements.
Evaluate and compare security solutions clearly and objectively, enabling well-informed decisions on future product launches and portfolio enhancements.
Work closely with propositions and portfolio teams to gain deep insight into customer needs across SME and public sector segments, ensuring solutions align with market trends and business priorities.
Serve as the technical knowledge lead for designated focus areas, supporting product managers with architectural insight and technical feasibility assessments.
Build and maintain infrastructure systems within the Security Customer Experience Centre to showcase BT’s security capabilities and enhance customer engagement.
Experience with technical architecture and solution design, having delivered complex security solutions aligned to business requirements.
Solid security technology expertise, including PoCs/PoVs, vendor solution evaluation, SSE/SD‑WAN technologies, and SaaS API integration.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence decisions, present solutions, and work effectively across teams.
Proven ability to work independently and proactively, investigating and developing solutions with minimal guidance in a product-focused environment.
Relevant security certifications such as CISSP/CISSM (or working towards).
