What you’ll be doing
- Developing mission critical applications across different platforms
- Ensuring timely delivery of a high-quality overall solutions that meet business requirements
- Collaborating with Developers, Leads, Architects, Delivery Managers.
- Keeping the application up to date by working with IT to test and apply patches and upgrades.
- Learning new processes and multiple technologies.
- Business Impact: Ensures on-time, quality deliveries for BT.
Skills Required for this Role
Essential Skills (Skills without which the person cannot perform the role, limit to a maximum of four skills only )
- Hands-on coding ability and trouble shoot and fix Java web applications.
- Strong technical understanding as well as hands on experience on open-source monitoring toolsets.
- Exposure in agile environment.
- Strong analytical and debugging skills
Overall Skills and Experience (Include skills that in addition to the essential skills are required for the person to perform the role in a better way )
- Experience in technical of complex project deliveries end-to-end with matrix managed structure.
- Experience developing and designing Enterprise Application development Projects
- Self-starter who can lead the way by setting up prototypes for vendor technical teams to follow
- Contribute to the definition of the team processes and standards
- In depth understanding of Telecom product offerings.
Qualifications
Essential
- Possess BE / BTech. degree in Computer Science or related field
- Possess typically 3 - 8 years of previous software engineering or related experience
- Following are must have technical skills:
- Java/Java EE
- Hibernate
- Linux commands
- Spring basics
- Restful services
- MySql or any other Database
Desirable
- Optional technical skills :
- Javascript
- Angular 2/4/5/6
- Druid/Kafka
- Training exposure with large Telco service providers is a plus
- Experience in working with geographically dispersed teams
