Responsibilities

  • The Wound Care Registered Nurse will be accountable for the health status and for the health needs of patients based upon interpretation of health data and preventative health practices in collaboration with patients and interdisciplinary healthcare team members.
  • The Registered Nurse will assist with daily clinic operations in a wound care setting, including assessing patients, assisting physicians, patient triage, medication administration, and a wide variety of duties, as needed.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Current License as RN in the State of Texas
  • High School (or GED equivalent) diploma. 

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Previous acute care experience.

  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross Advanced Life Support Certification (ACLS).

  • A Current WCC Certification.
