The Field Service Engineer / Specialist will provide on-site and remote technical support for the maintenance, installation and training of instruments managed by the AXS Business Unit.

This role combines hands-on service with customer interaction, ensuring high-quality technical assistance and customer satisfaction through timely problem resolution and collaboration with internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional technical support by visiting the Bruker customers with installation, training, corrective and preventive maintenance in Mexico and in one second level in Latin America.
  • Support regional and global customer hotline and provide 1st level support.
  • Support to increase the Service contracts coverage and business.
  • Regular customer contacts to ensure maximum satisfaction.
  • Prepare service and expenses report professionally and in time.
  • Translate technical manuals and service procedures when needed.
  • Support sales department for aftermarket sales (e. g. upgrades and new leads.

Skills and knowledge requirements

 

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Motivated self-starter.
  • Ability to speak and write proficiently in Spanish.
  • Advanced level to read, speak and write in English.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • High level technical hardware, software and network skills related to X-ray instrumentation.
  • Knowledge of X-ray fluorescence and X-ray diffraction is a big plus.
  • Self organized, oriented to deadline.
  • Availability to travel permanent.
  • National driver´s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, Tecnologist or Technical in Electrical, Electronic, Mecatronic Engineering, Chemical/Material Sciences, equivalent military education.• More than 2 years experience in customer service.• Strong competency with complex systems technology to include electrical/electronics, mechanics, software and chemistry technology.• Skills to analyse failures and perform troubleshooting• Work under pressure• Willing to travel approximately 80% of the time
