
The Software Asset Coordinator is responsible for supporting the management and optimization of software assets within the organization. This role ensures compliance with licensing agreements, tracks software usage, and assists in procurement and vendor negotiations. It acts as a bridge between IT, procurement, finance, and business units to maintain cost efficiency and governance.
YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
Maintain accurate records of software licenses and entitlements.
Monitor compliance with vendor agreements and regulatory requirements.
Analyze software usage data to identify underutilized or over-licensed applications.
Recommend cost-saving measures such as reallocation or consolidation of licenses.
Assist in software purchasing and renewal processes.
Collaborate with procurement teams during vendor negotiations.
Coordinate provisioning and de-provisioning of software access for users.
Ensure proper documentation and approval workflows.
Prepare regular reports on license status, compliance, and usage trends.
YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT Asset Management, software licensing, or procurement support.
Knowledge of software licensing (SaaS, subscription, perpetual)
Proficiency with IT Asset Management tools and processes
Strong analytical and reporting skills
Effective communication and coordination abilities
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Familiarity with ITIL processes and service management principles
