About this role

We are looking for an experienced eCommerce Functional Analyst to join our ever-evolving team working in a fast-paced & exciting environment out of BRP’s Montreal downtown office.

Reporting to the D2C Solution Delivery Team Lead, the Functional Analyst will contribute to the design, documentation, and validation of functional and business requirements supporting BRP’s Direct‑to‑Consumer (D2C) solutions. The Functional Analyst will provide end‑to‑end support across the application lifecycle, including requirement elicitation, functional design, testing support, production defect analysis, and ongoing operational support.

YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Contribute to the development of initial technical requirements in collaboration with project and solution partners, ensuring clarity, feasibility, and alignment with business needs.

  • Validate that technical specifications and proposed architectures meet business and functional requirements, while guiding key contributors through development, system integration testing (SIT), and user acceptance testing (UAT).

  • Participate in the scoping, design, configuration, testing, and deployment of cross‑functional projects, as well as continuous improvement initiatives across the D2C ecosystem.

  • Provide input on product, tool, and methodology selection, contributing to strategic decisions by leveraging industry trends and ensuring solutions remain scalable and aligned with the overall technology vision.

  • Serve as a steward of functional best practices, maintaining up‑to‑date documentation and promoting adherence to technical and industry standards within project delivery and application support teams.

  • Oversee the transition from project delivery to operational support, ensuring a smooth handoff through clear documentation, knowledge transfer, and the development and delivery of training materials for end‑users and support teams.

 

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • A university degree in computer science, business technology, or equivalent,

  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in an enterprise technology environment,

  • A demonstrated capability to analyze business and technical requirements, and develop solutions to address requirements,

  • A proven track record of successfully working with enterprise systems and integrations,

  • The ability to constantly adapt and perform in ever-evolving retail environments and business realities,

  • The ability to perform an active role in internal and external brainstorming and management meetings to bring our technical solutions to the next level,

  • A dynamic, innovative and problem resolution focus with strong communication skills, both written and verbal,

  • The ability to work in French and English (written and oral) a must,

  • Proven experience with retail processes and technology is a strong asset (order capture to payment processing)

  • Implementation or experimentation experience with LLMs or Agentic platforms considered an asset

EXPERIENCE WITH THE FOLLOWING SYSTEMS & PLATFORMS AN IMPORTANT ASSET:

  • Experience working with an Order Management System such as Manhattan Omni, Kibo Commerce, or other.

  • Experience working within an ERP such as SAP S4, or other.

  • Experience working with an enterprise eCommerce platform such as Adobe Commerce, Salesforce Commerce, Shopify, or other.

  • Experience working with a reputable payment provider such as Braintree, Ayden, Shop or other.

  • Experience working with a CRM solution such as Salesforce, MS Dynamics or other.

  • Experience working with a marketing automation platform and CDP such as Salesforce, Adobe, Tealium, or other.
