About this role

The Business Analyst acts as a liaison between the partner and the Information Systems and Technologies department (cybersecurity operations, governance, risk and compliance), analyzing the organization’s business needs before launching IT projects and helping clients prepare project justifications.
Key responsibilities include identifying, defining, analyzing, and documenting organizational requirements. The business analyst translates these requirements into objectives for projects or improvement requests. In collaboration with architects, delivery teams, and business leaders, the analyst transforms analyses into visual diagrams, technical process flows, and technical documentation, while managing technical knowledge and adapting to change. The analyst also ensures that solutions comply with client requirements.


 

YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Analyze and model the business domain (infrastructure, network, and cybersecurity) and related processes.
  • Support the project delivery manager in identifying and evaluating opportunities.
  • Assist partners in defining, justifying, and documenting operational needs.
  • Determine and manage business requirements using various information-gathering techniques.
  • Prioritize and manage requirements to facilitate solution implementation.
  • Communicate and present concrete solutions.
  • Provide advice and support to partners to foster improvement and innovation.
  • Mentor less experienced team members.
  • Help refine business analysis methodology, processes, and tools.
  • Conduct structured testing and validation.
  • Assist users during acceptance testing.
  • Contribute to Organizational Change Management (OCM).

 

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; Master’s is an asset.
  • Minimum five years of experience in cybersecurity.
  • Business knowledge and ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Proven ability to define and translate requirements into use cases and test scenarios.
  • Experience implementing administrative systems.
  • Ability to assess costs, risks, and profitability of IT projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft and Google Workspace tools.
  • Strong client relationship and customer service skills.
  • Certifications such as IIBA, PMI-PBA, CISA, CISM, CISSP are assets.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure, networks, cybersecurity, Microsoft 365, and cloud computing.
  • Excellent visual communication and technical documentation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and curiosity for technology solutions.
  • High-level analytical and information processing skills.
  • Ability to influence, challenge, persuade, and initiate change.
  • Ability to prioritize and perform tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Extensive experience in collaborative and team environments.
  • Good judgment and discretion in sensitive situations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders outside Quebec or English-only speakers on a daily basis.
  • Strong leadership and deep knowledge of Agile methodology are major assets.
