<p data-start="227" data-end="507"><span class="hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline"><span class="whitespace-normal">Brooklinen</span></span> is seeking a Freelance Bed & Bath Designer to support our Design team during a temporary backfill. This role steps in to maintain momentum across active Bed & Bath design work, ensuring continuity, quality, and speed during a critical period.</p>
<p data-start="509" data-end="868">This is a hands-on, execution-focused role for a designer who’s comfortable jumping into existing workflows, owning their work independently, and partnering closely with a small, highly collaborative team. You’ll report into our SVP of Design and work closely with our Senior Color Designer, contributing directly to ongoing product development and execution.</p>

<p data-start="2310" data-end="2668">• Type: Freelance / Temporary<br data-start="2339" data-end="2342">• Duration: Approximately 2 months, with potential to extend based on business needs and performance<br data-start="2442" data-end="2445">• Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week)<br data-start="2483" data-end="2486">• Location: New York, NY (Hybrid)<br data-start="2519" data-end="2522">• This role is based in Manhattan, NY, with a hybrid schedule of two days in-office and three days remote.<br data-start="2618" data-end="2621">• Rate: $50–$55 per hour, based on experience</p>
<h3 data-start="875" data-end="892">What You’ll Do</h3>
<p data-start="894" data-end="1570">• Support active Bed & Bath design projects, ensuring timelines and approvals stay on track<br data-start="985" data-end="988">• Design and develop flat textile products with a focus on color, texture, and materiality<br data-start="1078" data-end="1081">• Build, update, and maintain accurate, production-ready tech packs<br data-start="1148" data-end="1151">• Manage color approvals, material reviews, and technical design sign-offs<br data-start="1225" data-end="1228">• Maintain clear documentation and progress tracking within PLM systems<br data-start="1299" data-end="1302">• Collaborate closely with Product Development, Merchandising, Sourcing, and Production partners<br data-start="1398" data-end="1401">• Step into existing processes quickly and work independently within a one-team mindset<br data-start="1488" data-end="1491">• Ramp into workflows efficiently and contribute with minimal onboarding time</p>
<h3 data-start="1577" data-end="1602">What We’re Looking For</h3>
<p data-start="1604" data-end="2120">• 3–5 years of experience in design or creative product development<br data-start="1671" data-end="1674">• Bachelor’s degree in a creative discipline (Design, Fine Arts, or similar)<br data-start="1750" data-end="1753">• Strong experience creating and maintaining tech packs<br data-start="1808" data-end="1811">• Familiarity working within PLM systems<br data-start="1851" data-end="1854">• Elevated taste level with a strong eye for color and texture<br data-start="1916" data-end="1919">• Creative, curious, and detail-oriented<br data-start="1959" data-end="1962">• Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with a small team<br data-start="2043" data-end="2046">• Able to adapt quickly and keep work moving in a fast-paced environment</p>
