School Psychology Intern 2026-2027

In a culture of achievement, educators support students in recognizing and building on their identities as sources of strength even as they work to grow and achieve in new ways.<strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>What is the School Psychology Internship?&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>Under the supervision of a licensed school psychologist develop skills in order to:&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Conduct comprehensive evaluations including cognitive, academic, attention,&nbsp; social/emotional and functional behavior assessments&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Provide direct services, both individually and in small groups</li> <li>Participate actively in IEP, RTI, and Child Study Team meetings in order to&nbsp; produce comprehensive and appropriate educational plans for students&nbsp;</li> <li>Serve as a liaison between the school, student, parent and external agencies&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Make referrals to external agencies and appropriate programs for students in&nbsp; need of support services&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Provide crisis intervention for students, which may include risk assessments,&nbsp; safety contracts and social service interventions&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Collaborate with parents and teachers, engaging them as partners in the&nbsp; student’s therapeutic intervention&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Conduct classroom screening to assist teachers in planning effective educational&nbsp; strategies for all students&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Perform other related duties as requested by supervisor&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Is This You?&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>You hold a master’s degree and are currently enrolled in a NASP accredited &nbsp;school psychology program.&nbsp;</li> <li>You have a dedication to the Brooke Charter School philosophy and mission.</li> <li>You are in good academic standing and are meeting all graduate school program&nbsp; criteria to apply for an internship.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>You have passed course work related to theory, administration, and&nbsp; interpretation of standardized instruments.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>You have excellent skills in the areas of teamwork, oral and written&nbsp; communication, and organization.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>You are able to start in July 2026.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Additional Requirements&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Official copy of graduate school transcript&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Letter from graduate school program director verifying that the candidate is in good academic standing and eligible for internship.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>This is a paid role.&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><em>The community and students we serve are diverse, and we are committed to reflecting&nbsp; that diversity in our staff.
