Role Overview

The Supply Chain Analyst supports transportation, warehousing, production, procurement, and inventory operations through practical, data-driven analysis. This role partners closely with the Supply Chain Manager and cross-functional teams to improve operational performance, manage costs, and ensure continuity of supply in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating demand.

The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working directly with operational data, ERP/WMS systems, and imperfect datasets.

Key Responsibilities

Operational & Financial Analysis

  • Analyze requirements and forecasts to support procurement and inventory strategies with meaningful financial and operational impact

  • Evaluate the financial implications of current and future operational methods, including cost, service, and inventory tradeoffs

  • Generate month-end reporting, including inventory, cost of goods sold (COGS), supplier spend, and planning and forecast summaries

Reporting & Data Management

  • Develop, maintain, and distribute recurring KPI and operational performance reports

  • Build and maintain Excel-based analytical tools and Power BI dashboards

  • Extract, validate, and reconcile data from IFS (ERP) and Invar (WMS)

  • Maintain clean, accurate, and well-structured datasets to support decision-making

Procurement & Supplier Support

  • Support purchasing prioritization and procurement analysis within established policies

  • Assist with supplier engagement, including quote analysis, contract term review, performance tracking, and issue escalation

  • Monitor supplier performance metrics and collaborate with the Quality team on corrective actions

  • Evaluate and adjust procurement and inventory plans in response to demand changes, supply constraints, and market conditions

Cross-Functional & Operational Support

  • Collaborate with Warehouse, Shipping, Production, Quality, Engineering, Sales, and Finance teams to align supply strategies and prevent disruptions such as line-down events or missed shipments

  • Partner with the Warehousing team to support inventory accuracy, investigate discrepancies, and assist with physical inventory counts

  • Collaborate with Finance and suppliers to help resolve accounts payable discrepancies

  • Develop a strong understanding of product structures, manufacturing processes, and supply chain operations and their interdependencies

  • Work closely with the Supply Chain Manager to recommend process improvements and supply chain optimization initiatives

  • Perform additional analytical or supply chain-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Analytics, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field preferred

  • 2–5 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, operations, or analytics

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets

  • Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, lookups, Power Query; macros a plus)

  • Experience with ERP systems (IFS preferred) and BI tools (Power BI preferred)

  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or logistics environments

  • Exposure to procurement, inventory planning, or supplier performance analysis
