We are actively hiring Qualified Professionals (QPs) in the following areas for our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team:

Job Description:

Broadstep Behavioral Health Inc. is seeking a Qualified Professional to join our Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT). The ACT program is a direct and indirect periodic service where the ACTT staff provides direct intervention and arranges, coordinates, and monitors services on behalf of the recipient. This service is provided in any location.  ACTT services are primarily provided in a range of community settings such as recipient’s home, school, homeless shelters, libraries, etc.

Broadstep’s North Carolina services include a wide array of mental health and substance use programs and services. The services provided are community-based, outpatient therapy, and crisis services to serve people where they are. North Carolina programs are CARF accredited and are focused on the concept of whole person care and wellness.

     Schedule & Location: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, with regular travel to consumers in the respective metro area.

 

Job Type: This is a community-based role that is not eligible for remote work.   

Job Duties:  

  • One-on-one intervention with the consumer to develop interpersonal and coping skills including adaptation to home, school and work environment. 
  • Assist client with development of skills for self-management and monitoring of symptoms 
  • Assisting each person we support to identify and communicate his or her requests and needs for services and supports through direct interviews 
  • Supervising, integrating and coordinating person-centered plans and monitoring progress towards personal, clinical and functional outcomes 
  • Initiating periodic reviews, investigations, modifications, and adjustments by soliciting the feedback of the people we support as their needs and goals change 
  • Reviewing assessments completed by the people we support and other members of the interdisciplinary team to best help the people we support to meet their full potentials 
  • Supervising and writing the person-centered plan based on assessments, interviews, and observations 
  • Monitoring activities to ensure that quality assurance and/or state survey improvements are being made 
  • All other duties as assigned

 

Required Education/Experience: 

  •  A master’s degree in a human service field and 1 year of full-time, post-graduate degree accumulated mh/dd/sa experience with the population served, or a substance abuse professional who has one year of full-time, postgraduate degree accumulated supervised experience in alcoholism and drug abuse counseling.
  • OR a bachelor’s degree in a human service field and 2 years of full-time, post-bachelor's degree accumulated mh/dd/sa experience with the population served, or a substance abuse professional who has two years of full-time, a post bachelor's degree accumulated supervised experience in alcoholism and drug abuse counseling.
  • OR a bachelor’s degree in a field other than human services and 4 years of full-time, post-bachelor's degree accumulated mh/dd/sa experience with the population served, or a substance abuse professional who has four years of full-time, post-bachelor's degree accumulated supervised experience in alcoholism and drug abuse counseling.
  • A valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
  • Strong clinical knowledge of the treatment/service needs of the clients served.
  • Skills in assessing strengths and needs, treatment plan development, and clinical service implementation. 

 

Required License/Credentials:   

  • QMHP Preferred
