Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Oracle SQL / PL/SQL Developer with 3–6 years of strong experience in designing, developing, and optimizing database solutions. The candidate will be responsible for writing efficient SQL queries, building scalable PL/SQL programs, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring performance tuning for mission‑critical applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, enhance, and maintain Oracle SQL queries, PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, and triggers.
• Work on L3 Development with real-time problem-solving including debugging, performance tuning, and root cause analysis.
• Optimize SQL queries for large datasets (millions of rows) to improve application performance.
• Implement bulk processing using BULK COLLECT, FORALL, and collections to handle high volumes of data.
• Work with cursors, ref cursors, dynamic SQL for complex requirement handling.
• Design and maintain database objects (tables, views, indexes, constraints, partitions).
• Collaborate with Dev, QA, and Business teams for requirement gathering, triaging, and defect resolution.
• Implement error handling, exception handling, logging, and debugging strategies.
• Support data migration, transformation, and integration workflows.
• Work with tools like GIT, JIRA, Jenkins, AutoSys (or equivalent) for version control and deployment.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 3–6 years of experience in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development.
• Strong knowledge of SQL optimization techniques (indexes, hints, explain plan, statistics).
• Hands-on with PL/SQL programming constructs (procedures, packages, functions, triggers, cursors).
• Experience with performance tuning, debugging, and production incident support.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC & Agile practices.
• Experience working with large datasets in OLTP / OLAP environments.
• Good understanding of database design & normalization.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Exposure to XML, JSON handling in Oracle will be an added advantage.
• Good communication skills for interaction with cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Knowledge of Oracle Advanced Features (Materialized Views, Partitioning, Parallel Query).
• Hands-on with Oracle XML DB / JSON functions.
• Exposure to AWS RDS / Cloud Databases.
• Experience using unit testing frameworks (utPLSQL).

Education:

• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
