Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and configure SQL Server, configure, create and maintain SQL Server databases.
  • Monitor SQL Server performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
  • Optimize SQL queries and database structures for performance improvements.
  • Implement security measures to safeguard sensitive data. Configure, setup and perform regular database backups and restore processes to protect against client and internal teams critical data loss.
  • Collaborate with application developers to design and implement efficient database solutions.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to database configurations and procedures.
  • Conduct capacity planning and recommend hardware/software upgrades as needed.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in database management area.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 4 to 7 years of experience as a SQL Database Administrator or in a similar role.
  • Proficient in T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, and database optimization techniques.
  • Experience with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
  • Familiarity with database replication, clustering, and failover techniques.
  • Strong understanding of data modelling, database design, and ETL processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent ability to be a team player and work under a pressure to deliver assigned tasks as quickly as possible
