About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Managed File Transfer (MFT) Engineer to join our Investor Communication Solutions (ICS) team — a business unit that delivers critical shareholder communications and regulatory compliance solutions to banks, brokers, mutual funds, and corporate issuers in North America and Europe.

This is a hands-on engineering role with high exposure to enterprise-grade MFT tools, AWS Cloud, automation, and scripting in a mission-critical financial services environment.

What You’ll Do

• Install, configure, and maintain enterprise transmission software across distributed platforms.

• Support & troubleshoot file transfer protocols (SFTP, FTPS, FTP, HTTPS, Connect:Direct, PGP encryption).

• Manage Connect:Direct in both on-premise and AWS Cloud environments.

• Create and maintain automation scripts (Perl, Unix Shell, Windows scripting) for production processes.

• Monitor and support transmission automation tools used by our 24x7 operations team.

• Work with internal teams (Technology, Application, and Business) to ensure project deliverables are met.

• Provide client onboarding support and handle any production transmission issues.

• Participate in out-of-hours/weekend on-call support.

Must-Have Skills

• 4–5 years of hands-on experience in Managed File Transfer tools and engineering.

• B.E./B.Tech or higher in IT, Computer Science, or related field.

• Expertise with Axway Secure transport, IBM Managed File Transfer suite (Connect:Direct, Sterling File Gateway, Sterling B2B Integrator, Sterling Secure Proxy, Sterling External Authentication Server).

• Strong UNIX and Windows OS knowledge.

• Proficient with Unix commands & basic scripting (Perl/Shell/Python).

• Strong understanding of all file transfer protocols (SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS, Connect:Direct, etc.).

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Familiarity with Sterling File Gateway, B2Bi, Splunk, Sterling Control Center, AXWAY/ Axway Secure transport .

• Experience with Terraform, Chef, Git or similar DevOps tools.
