Broadridge is growing! We are seeking a Proofreader to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will collaborate with our client-facing and Composition teams to check the accuracy of all documents received for conversion and revision.

Responsibilities:

  • Proofread edits from various sources:  tracked Word changes, PDF, Excel files, PPT files, HTML files

  • Perform a full quality check on various types of financial documents at the time of creation, as well as after various changes from the client, before they are filed with the SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) and/or printed

  • Compare converted documents to the original documents received from the client, ensuring that the content matches

  • Proofread and verify that spelling, style, and alignment are correct and consistent  with client-submitted copy throughout (including job numbers, folios, headings, etc.)

  • Assure all logos and graphics are correct and of the highest quality

  • Mark identified changes directly on the printed PDF proof utilizing Adobe annotation tools
     

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of experience in Proofreading is preferred, or a degree in English or similar field. Prior Proofreading experience in Financial Printing a plus.

  • High level of skill in written English including spelling, grammar, and punctuation

  • Self-motivated to work efficiently and meet deadlines

  • Ability to stay focused throughout an entire project, containing technical and mathematical content

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to build positive working relationships with co-workers and internal clients

  • Highly skilled computer aptitude and a strong command of Microsoft Office Suite

  • Comfortable working with high-volumes, and capable of maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to work flexible, and potentially extended working hours during seasonal periods

  • Uses administrative, data organizing and coordination skills to complete work

  • Performs duties according to established procedures
     

Hourly compensation range $25.00 - $30.00. Bonus Eligible.
