Overview
A caring family in Naperville, IL is looking for a full-time, live-out nanny for their three children, ages 5, 4, and 1 years old. This is a 35+ hour per week role with general hours being Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8am-5pm and Fridays from 8am-4pm. The parents both work from home and are involved with the children. The family also has two small dogs and will be adding a large, highly trained dog to the family in March. The ideal candidate is comfortable, confident, and not timid around dogs. This is a fully child-focused role, with the option for more hours in the future. The family is open to helping a candidate relocate, but is ideally looking for someone already local.
Responsibilities
- Full childcare for children; oldest child attends school in the mornings
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities with an educational focus
- Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the children
- Encourage and model positive behaviors for household chores, cleaning up toys, putting dishes away, etc.
- Maintain the daily routine and structure, while also allowing the children to play and enjoy their days
Qualifications
- An educational background would be a plus, but not required
- Energetic, active, and can-do attitude
- Comfortable around a pool
- Confident around dogs, including a large (60-65 lb.) well-trained dog
- Experience with multiple children under 5 years of age
Requirements
- Must have at least 5 years of full-time nannying experience
- Great references
- Must be fully vaccinated, up to date on all vaccines, and willing to receive annual flu and COVID boosters (the family has an immunocompromised child)
- Legal to work in the US
Salary and Benefits
- $30-$40 per hour, based on experience
- Standard benefits, including paid sick days, PTO, and paid major holidays
