Overview
A wonderful, kind, and caring lady based in Manhattan is seeking a live-out companion/caregiver to assist her whilst she recovers from surgery. This is a temporary position to start ASAP through to June 2026, but flexibility on dates would be appreciated.
The schedule will be 10-12-hour days, Monday through Friday, with a separate caregiver covering weekends.
The principal has young children, so the candidate should be comfortable interacting and being around them. There are other staff within the home, so excellent communication skills are required, along with the ability to stay one step ahead and be proactive throughout the day.
Responsibilities
- Assist the principal with getting in and out of bed, dressing, hygiene, and mobility when moving around the home
- Ensure the wheelchair is available when needed
- Attend physio sessions and be able to offer support afterwards
- Offer assitance with medication
- Ensure a sense of safety, reliability, and calm presence within the home
- When required be able to assist with household management: oversee vendors, deliveries, etc
- Support with light household chores if needed

What you'll do
