Our Homemakers perform tasks that enable the patient to remain in the home by supplementing the patient and family/caregiver abilities for home management.
You will perform activities such as preparing meals, light housekeeping, plant care, laundry services, and so much more!
Our Homemakers do not require special certification, but they require a lot of compassion!

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am- 5:00pm
Coverage Area: Southeast Portland

QualificationsOn an Average Day You Will:
(includes but not limited to)
Provide homemaking activities for the terminally ill
Observe the patient for changes in general physical and mental conditions; reports any changes to the RN Case Manager
Keep the private home clean and orderly
Plan meals, as appropriate
Prepare and serve meals according to the family’s needs and the patient’s plan of care
Wash dishes and clean the kitchen after meals
Assist the family in the practice of safety, hygiene and good nutrition, when possible
Provide for cleaning of laundry and linens.
Perform duties in compliance with the plan of care.
Companionship, reading, and listening
Help with organization of the home and surroundings
Provide Plant Care
Provide light duty housekeeping such as vacuuming, sweeping, mopping
Complete visit documentation in accordance with hospice guideline
Adhere to the documentation and care procedures and standards of personal and professional conduct
All other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Must have work/life experience as a homemaker
Must have at least one (1) year of successful work experience
Must be flexible with work schedule
