About our school
St Martin’s School with an enrolment of over 620 students is the only Catholic Primary School in Queensland founded in the 800-year Dominican tradition which centres on four pillars: prayer, learning, service and community. At St Martin’s School we believe that a consistent approach to learning and teaching is essential to create a unified learning community. We have implemented a synthetic phonics approach to the teaching of reading, writing, and spelling which is lifting our literacy data. We also have a whole school approach to the teaching of problem solving in mathematics. We educate all to be creative, confident, and reflective learners who are empowered to shape and enrich our world.

We establish supportive learning environments that promote engagement and collaboration. Our staff support one another with their work, with all year level non-contact release time timetabled at the same time. There is off street staff parking and an active staff social committee which supports staff wellbeing. I invite you to be a part of our special school staff family. Explore our school website to learn more about us.
