About our school 
St Patrick’s is an integral part of the Our Lady Help of Christians Parish which encompasses the areas of Nanango, Yarraman, Blackbutt and Cooyar. A picturesque 2.5-hour drive from Brisbane, we are a co-educational primary school with an enrolment of approximately 70 students. Summary

Help support teachers in developing and implementing interventions to enhance student learning and outcomes across all subjects. 

  • Location: St Patrick's Primary School, Nanango
  • Start date: Commencing February, 2026
  • Work hours: 30 hours per week
  • Salary: School Officer level 2 - $32.50 + super (School Salary Scale)
  • Status: Term Time Fixed Term

About the opportunity

In this position you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with the delivery of learning and teaching programs including the use of technology and learning support activities
  • Preparing learning support activities and organising the production of printed materials and resources for lesson activities or classroom displays ensuring items are returned to designated areas after the activities
  • Ensuring the condition of resources and materials are clean and safe to use and arrange the repair or replacement for any damaged items
  • Supervising small groups and individual students, as requested, to assist with student learning outcomes and learning disabilities
  • Documenting observation notes, intervention programs and assist in the collation and preparation of classroom materials.

About you

To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:

  • Ability to assist in delivering teaching programs, including technology use and learning support
  • Knowledge of how to prepare learning activities and organise resources/materials for lessons
  • Organisational skills to maintain the safety and cleanliness of resources and promptly arrange for repairs or replacements as needed
  • Experience in supervising small groups or individual students to support learning and disabilities 
  • Strong admin skills
  • Enrolment in Certificate III in Education Support would be highly regarded
  • For this position you are not required to be Catholic.

 

Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:

  • Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
  • Hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement.
