About our school
St Bernardine’s Catholic Primary School is a vibrant educational school located in Regents Park, just 22 km from Brisbane City, with an enrolment of approximately 730 students. The school is deeply rooted in the charism of St Bernardine and the Franciscan tradition, fostering a learning environment that values God’s creation and emphasises community service.
The school's approach to education is centered on the individual progression of each student, guiding them from ‘What I know’ to ‘Where I need to go next.’ This journey is supported by a consistent application of research-proven teaching practices across all classrooms, ensuring that every student is engaged and able to learn successfully.
The emphasis on challenge, feedback, and goal setting is fundamental to helping students achieve their full potential. St Bernardine’s is not just about academic success but also about fostering a community built on mutual respect and support.
The school’s motto, 'To Serve, To Challenge,' encapsulates its commitment to leading and engaging others through both words and actions. This philosophy extends to the school’s supportive teaching environment, where educators are provided with generous collaborative planning time and extensive support from a dedicated team, including teacher aides, a behaviour support teacher, curriculum pedagogy support teachers, a full-time speech pathologist, and an occupational therapist.
St Bernardine’s is dedicated to ensuring that every member of the school community, from students to staff, can be the best they can be.
