About our school
Mary Immaculate Primary School in Annerley is a hidden gem in the inner city of Brisbane. Our motto “Incline your Heart” was inspired by Mary MacKillop and the Josephite Sisters who founded our school community in 1917. The school was refurbished for its centenary celebrations in 2017, and all classrooms are air conditioned, bright and contemporary with 1:1 Gen 9 iPads from Prep-6 and the latest technology available for all staff.
The school has ample on-site parking and is only a short one-minute stroll to popular cafes and take-away venues. We are a small school where every child is well-known and well-taught. Class sizes are small, and teachers are supported with additional release time, one-to-one support with the Primary Learning Leader to assist with planning tasks and school officer assistance in classrooms for students. Staff wellbeing is a priority and valued with all staff having the right to disconnect. We have a strong community connection and believe in working together to achieve more for our students.
