Brimacombe ski area is currently seeking a skilled Licensed Lift Mechanic for our fast-paced alpine ski and snowboard facility. This year-round, full-time position reports to the Outdoor Operations Manager and is responsible for maintaining on site lifts, as well as various resort equipment and machinery.


Key Responsibilities:


  • To perform all duties assigned by Outdoor Operations Manager
  • Ensure all lifts are maintained to CSA Z-98 code and manufacturer’s recommendations
  • Assist in emergency situations
  • Report and rectify any unsafe situations
  • Keep a clean, organized and safe work environment
  • Use courtesy and respect when dealing with management, staff, co-workers, and guests at all times


Qualifications:


  • SLM-B or SLM-A with ski industry experience
  • Good communications skills, self-motivated, mature, dependable, timely and able to work well with others
  • Willing and able to work in all weather conditions
  • Ability to work at excessive heights
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to operate snowmobiles, ATVs and 4x4 trucks in a safe and responsible manner
  • Operator’s certificates for associated industrial equipment an asset
  • Good working knowledge of current WCB regulations
  • Required tools


Candidates must be willing to work from both outside and in office as required and be flexible with hours and times. Candidates must be willing to work all shifts including weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed. The successful candidate will also be required to comply with Brimacombe’s Statement of Business Conduct.
