Job Title: Provisional Therapist 

Location: Springfield, Missouri 

Department: Autism 

Employment Type: Full-time (30 hrs per week) 

 

 

Job Summary: 
As a Provisional Therapist, you will play a vital role in transforming lives by helping individuals, families, and couples tackle and overcome mental health challenges. In this position, you will assess, diagnose, and treat clients based on their unique needs. You will utilize evidence-based interventions and techniques to empower clients in developing coping strategies and improving their overall well-being while working under the supervision of a licensed therapist or psychologist.

Key Responsibilities: 
• Provide individual, group, family, and practical counseling in various settings to meet client needs and treatment goals. 
• Complete intake/screening and comprehensive assessments as per regulatory and accreditation standards. 
 Determine and document diagnoses based on thorough assessments. 
• Develop individualized treatment plans in line with appropriate standards. 
 Participate in clinical staffing/treatment meetings, offering feedback on pertinent cases. 
• Meet department-specific Collaborative Service Goal (CSG) requirements. 
• Document all provided services in accordance with agency standards. 
 Assist clients in their transition process and handle final correspondence. 
 Maintain positive relationships with referral sources, clients, and coworkers while adhering to agency policies. 
• Handle crisis situations as needed and assist in coordinating emergency services. 
 Facilitate group counseling, family therapy, and specialty services such as trauma and co-occurring therapy. 

 

 

Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications: 
• Must possess at least a Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field. 
• Holds provisional licensure with the applicable state board as a professional counselor or social worker (PLPC, LMSW, or PLMFT). 
• Must be able to obtain full licensure by completing supervision hours and passing a licensing exam. 
• Willing to become licensed in additional states. 
• Comfortable providing telehealth services to clients (training provided). 

 

 

Additional Qualifications: 
• Current driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and auto insurance. 
• Completion of mandatory trainings as required by regulatory standards. 

 

 

Physical Requirements: 
• Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently. 
• Involves primarily sedentary work with the need to sit most of the time, but may require brief periods of walking or standing.
