Nursery – Bright Horizons Harwell Day Nursery

Salary – £12.88 per hour (dependent on qualification/s and experience)

Hour - 20 Hours per week | Mon-Fri | 10:00-14:00

We’re looking for an Early Years Assistant to join our Harwell Day Nursery on a part time basis. This nursery cares for up to 94 children aged 3 months to 5 years. Based in the Harwell Campus in Didcot the nursery has a large range of resources and activities including a mini kitchen for the children to get involved in cooking with our qualified nursery chef and also dance classes with Boogie Mites where the children can express themselves and learn through music and movement.

The Role

As an Early Years Assistant, you will work as part of a team to look after babies and children up to the age of 5. You will have adventures with our children through interactive play, activities, reading, and encouraging their curious minds – supporting colleagues with each child’s development towards their key milestones.  

What we’re looking for

• Previous experience working with children ideal but not essential – Nursery Bank Staff, Nursery Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, Nanny, Childminder or similar

• Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child

• Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with both colleagues and parents

• Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
