The Student Ambassador will represent the university to prospective students, families, and visitors, fostering an understanding of campus life, academics, and the admissions process. This role is ideal for a university student who enjoys public speaking, connecting with diverse groups, and delivering
presentations. The Student Ambassador will support the admissions process for prospective students. The Student Ambassador will lead campus tours, conduct virtual presentations, and manage event coordination
and email correspondence to enhance the university's outreach efforts.
Campus Tours & Public Speaking: Conduct in-person and virtual campus tours for prospective students, families, and other groups. Communicate clearly and confidently to provide an engaging campus experience and answer questions.
Relationship Building: Establish and maintain relationships of trust with prospective students, families, and university visitors, offering support and information as they consider their educational journey.
Admissions Presentations: Present admissions criteria, application processes, and academic offerings to audiences of various ages and backgrounds both in person and via video conferencing platforms.
•Event Planning & Coordination: Assist with the planning, organization, and execution of online admissions events, including webinars, live chats, and information sessions. Provide basic support for regional recruitment activities, including preparing digital materials and tracking event participation.
Email & Correspondence Management: Handle emails and follow-up correspondence with
prospective students and families while maintaining regular communication with applicants to ensure timely responses and guide them through each stage of the admissions process.
Collaboration: Work with the admissions and recruitment teams to align outreach efforts and improve the prospective student experience. Update and maintain applicant records in the admissions system and support reporting needs as requested.
Current university student in good academic standing.
Strong public speaking and interpersonal communication skills.
Comfort and professionalism in using video conferencing tools (e.g., Zoom, MS Teams).
Ability to present information clearly, accurately, and with enthusiasm.
Organized and detail-oriented with event planning or coordination experience preferred.
Friendly, approachable, and able to relate to people from diverse backgrounds.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic knowledge of reporting tools or the ability to compile and interpret application-related data as requested.
Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently under changing priorities.
Base Rate Per Hour:
