Job Summary
The Student Photographer will capture high-quality photos that support the newsroom’s storytelling across print, digital, and social platforms. This role is ideal for a student with an eye for detail, creativity, and a passion for visual journalism.

Primary Responsibilities
Photograph campus events, news stories, student life, and portraits as assigned.
Edit and prepare photos for publication using basic photo editing software.
Collaborate with reporters, editors, and other staff to develop visual content.
Maintain an organized archive of photos for newsroom use.
Uphold ethical journalism and photojournalism standards.

Qualifications:
Current student with a flexible schedule to cover assignments, including some evenings/weekends.
Familiarity with DSLR or mirrorless cameras and photo editing tools.
Strong eye for composition, lighting, and storytelling.
Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced newsroom environment.
Prior photography experience (classwork or freelance) preferred. PORTFOLIO REQUIRED WITH APPLICATION.
