Work Experience Description:

Ideal for students who have begun gaining relevant experience and are building their skills through internships, part-time jobs, or significant projects. Typically aimed at sophomores or juniors who have completed a combination of introductory and advanced coursework.

Job Summary
Student worker must be fluent and be able to read and write in Japanese.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide feedback to students using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage, motivate, or build confidence in students.
  • Student must be able to work with the Language Lab and instructors to help students learn the language.
  • Provide private instruction to individual or small groups of students to improve academic performance, improve occupational skills, or prepare for academic or occupational tests.
  • Student also reports directly to the course instructor regarding student needs.
  • Assess students' progress throughout tutoring sessions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
